Ashanti has prompted Samuel L Jackson to rethink his thoughts about hip-hop stars who take on movie roles – he wants to work with her again.

The Pulp Fiction star famously blasted musicians’ turns in films, insisting they should leave it to the professionals – and stop taking parts from real actors.
But Ashanti seems to have prompted Jackson to think again after working with him on new sports film Coach Carter.

Ashanti says, “We were all given director’s chairs as wrap party gifts and he wrote me a long message on the back of my director’s chair.

“He gave me a few pointers about staying successful and humble and he actually said he really wants to work with me again on a film.”
