When I met Coach Carter I was expecting to bump heads with an arrogant individual; instead, I learned through his inspiration. He made me realize that the most important thing in life is doing what is right for my children, in spite of. Thanks Coach

    Hi Coach Carter,
On this past Friday you spoke at The Fellowship of The Woodlands and you told a basketball story. You were talking about the star player on the opposing team which is now in the the NBA. If we got his name you said to email you the name and you will have something for that person. I think you said he played for the Houston Rockets, but I think you meant Dallas Mavericks. IS THIS PERSON TYSON CHANDLER aka TY CRANE?? I think I’m correct.
By the way, your speech was amazing. I took a lot of notes because one day I want to become a well-known, winning coach. I know you probably don’t remember but I was sitting on the second row next to College Park Girls, and guy’s basketball team, wearing the gold and black letterman jacket. I play basketball for Conroe High School!! Thank you for giving me a different look on life.

    Coach Carter,
I had the privilege to hear you speak this morning in the Woodlands, TX. Your talk was definitely motivating. I have been teaching for 36 years and get up every morning looking forward to another new day. If I can make a connection and build a relationship with a student, then I feel like it has been a good day. I hope that students will remember me as a teacher that made a difference in their life after they graduate. Hopefully, they will see me as a teacher that pushed them to strive to be the best they can be.

Thank you for providing opportunities for educators to continue to be lifelong learners and to see how the work they do each and every day is truly beneficial.

First of all let me say what a pleasure it is to have the chance to send you a comment. Your story is inspiring, needed and appropriate. For far too long we’ve allowed things to exist the way they are and looked the other way. Good meaning people who accept the status quo and don’t rock the boat are celebrated while real champions and hero’s are marginalized. Think I’m kidding? Think Principle Joe Clark, think Coach Ken Carter and these are only two examples. People appear to be afraid of trying to change the way things are and don’t like anyone who would dare to question the way things are done. I’m also an Author and Motivational Speaker. Once again God bless you and keep up the good work. I’m sure we’ll meet in the future.
